Dr. Rich Halcombe


Dr. Rich is the CEO and leads Stowe Mission to be best in class strategically, operationally and financially.  From setting it up as its own 501(c)3, facilitating the mission/vision discovery with key stakeholders, creating a budget, enlisting a board, hiring talent, raising funds, determining and maintaining metrics, establishing a strategic/operational rhythm and seeing life change in our neighbors, he is fulfilling his life mission.  His mission is to help proactive leaders achieve kingdom results, personally & organizationally. Based on Stowe and his work with hundreds of leaders, he founded leaderINCREASE, LLC to develop other leaders and their organizations.  He helps Stowe and numerous churches around the country achieve greater kingdom results with less effort and in less time.

Before starting at Stowe Mission, he earned a doctorate in leadership and management and served as senior staff at Champion Forest BC

Kelli Karlich

Executive Director

Kelli is the Executive Director of Stowe Mission of Central Ohio and oversees all operations related to the Mission.  She is responsible for all operations and facilities management, legal and compliance adherence, marketing, finance and human resources.  She ensures Stowe runs smoothly so the organization can focus on meeting the goals of the Mission.

Before starting at Stowe Mission in July 2018, Kelli spent her entire career in the for-profit business world with a focus on customer relationship management, sales and marketing.  She is also active in ministry serving with her husband as Columbus area open-air evangelists. Together they share the good news of Christ with people on college campuses, in area neighborhoods and in various church settings.

Kelli and her husband have been married for 23 years and have two children.

Shamus Strapp

Pastor of Stowe Church South City

Shamus Strapp serves as pastor at Stowe Church South City.  His desire is to see God’s church be built up in inner city America. His duties include preaching, counseling and discipleship with members of the southside community.

Shamus graduated from Cedarville University in 2012 with a bachelors in Global Economics International Business. He has been married since 2017.

Caylee Tetteh

 Director of Medical Arts & Social Enterprise

Caylee Tetteh is the Director of Medical Arts and Social Enterprise. Her focus includes building a medical program for individuals who would otherwise not have access to care. This is currently done through Stowe Mission's dental clinic, vision clinic, mental health care, and partnerships with local organizations. 

Before starting at Stowe Mission in January 2017, Caylee spent five years as a Medical Assistant for an Oral Surgeon. She also served as the Director of Student Ministries at her home church while completing her Bachelor of Science in Psychology. After feeling called to a career change, and an upcoming wedding, Caylee found Stowe and fell in love with their mission of giving gospel hope and restoration. 

Caylee enjoys exploring the Metro Parks, going to the zoo, and relaxing at home with her husband and son.

Joshua Shortridge

Director of Volunteers 

Joshua began his career at Stowe Mission as a volunteer in 2013. In his current role as Director of Volunteers, he serves as the primary contact for all volunteers.  His passion for the inner city comes from having a unique perspective with the area first-hand as Joshua grew up in the south end of Columbus.  His experience with the challenges many of our neighbors face allows him to relate to their needs and allow the Gospel to shine in practical ways.  

Joshua graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary studies with a focus on theology and communication from Liberty University. He has been married since 2011 and has one child.

Elese Mahan

Director, Pregnancy Resource Center 

Elese Mahan has served as the Director of Stowe Pregnancy Resource Center at Stowe Mission since July of 2016.  Before coming to Stowe, Elese participated in pregnancy care work for over ten years.  She has a heart to see women grow in their understanding of the natural creative gifts within them, as well as their value in the lives of their families and communities.  

Elese and her husband have four children and enjoy working together in ministry.  Her super powers include sewing, crafting and listening.

Jimmy Stiving

Director of Operations and Development

Jimmy has been the Director of Operations and Development at Stowe Mission since July 2017. He is responsible for fundraising and overall facility operations. He received a Bachelor’s of Science in City and Regional Planning from The Ohio State University, and a Master’s in Public Administration from The Ohio State University. 

Jimmy moved to Columbus from Minnesota to attend Ohio State in 2011 and fell in love with the city. Serving underprivileged neighborhoods has always been a passion and he feels right at home working on the South Side.

Jimmy lives in the University District with his wife and loves to attend Ohio State Sporting events.

Donna Taylor

Director of StratOps 

Donna serves as the Strat Ops Director.  She assists the CEO in a supporting role as he leads the staff currently serving at Stowe Mission of Central Ohio in casting the vision for the future as we seek to serve our community.  Donna also supports our QuickBooks accounting system & our accountants.  

Donna came to Stowe Mission through Metro Columbus Baptist Association as her youngest son was a student of Dr. Rich Halcombe's at the Metro Columbus Bible Institute (MCBI).  She was honored to be part of the team during the capital funds campaign that brought the ability to purchase the building at 888 Parsons.  Donna began her career at Stowe Mission as Executive Assistant to Dr. Rich Halcombe's, supporting him as he grew our reach not only in the Columbus area but beyond.  She has served in her new role as Director of StratOps for a little more than a year.

Donna lives in the Pickerington area with her husband and attends Sycamore Creek Church under the leadership of Pastor Steve Markle.  She and her husband are proud parents of 3 children & are blessed with 8 beautiful grandchildren ranging in ages 23 years old to 1 year old.  

She counts it a privilege to serve at Stowe Mission where she can help reach people, change lives & provide much needed services to our community.

Sarah Stewart

 Marketing Coordinator

Sarah is the Marketing Coordinator at Stowe Mission of Central Ohio. She is responsible for communicating with our supporters through direct mail, email, texting, and social media. She is also passionate about ensuring that neighbors in need are aware of our services. She began volunteering with Stowe in 2015 and interning in 2017. She joined full-time staff in 2019.following her graduation from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management.

Outside the office, she enjoys continuing to perform as a member of the Ohio State University Marching Band, informing people that doing so is still possible following graduation, and exploring Columbus with friends.
