Nurturing the Soul
At Stowe Mission, we believe education is transformational. Our educational programs offer hope while nurturing character development through our After-School Program, Pregnancy Resources and Christian services. Need additional help? We also provide hunger relief and dental and vision care.
Stowe Mission supports our school-age community by offering three programs to encourage academic growth and success. The After-School Program provides a safe and loving environment where children receive life-changing academic, spiritual and emotional support. Each week, Monday – Friday, we offer a wide variety of activities to enrich the lives of our community’s children and families, including homework help. We provide transportation from five of our local elementary schools to Stowe Mission.
Stowe Mission welcomes middle schoolers to Lifewise Academy. Junior high students attending South High School can opt to join this biblical-based character development program rich with practical application. Transportation is provided to Stowe Mission. South High School graduating seniors may apply for one of two Stowe Mission scholarships – a College Scholarship or a Trade School Scholarship.
Christian church services and Bible Studies are held at Stowe Mission each week. The Salt & Light Church meets in the Stowe Mission Community Room at 10 am each Sunday. A Laotian-speaking Christian service meets each Sunday at 2:00 pm for worship and fellowship. Christian Bible Studies are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:30 pm following the hot lunch served in the Stowe Mission Community Kitchen. Open to all, this Bible study and fellowship provides a relaxed environment to investigate and apply Biblical truths to our everyday lives and relationships.
